better youthS through sports award 2024-25

The SportsHour School Better Youths Through Sports Award 2024-25 initiative aims to recognise primary schools that encourage students to accumulate at least an average of 60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous-intensity daily physical activity (MVPA60) through creative approaches, increasing the overall physical activity levels of students in Hong Kong and help students develop lifelong healthy habits.

A total of 47 primary schools submitted creative, impactful initiatives aimed at increasing student activity levels. Schools competed for the prestigious “Outstanding School Award”, along with three special awards: “Best Use of Technology Award”, “Teaching Staff Participation Award”, and the “Parent-School Collaboration Award”. All entries were assessed on creativity, inclusiveness, and sustained impact, demonstrating how school-led efforts can shape healthy habits among children.
